I have been working with children, adolescents and adults for many years in a variety of settings including child welfare, school settings and private practice. I specialize in working with children of all ages from toddlers to young adulthood. I have experience and I am trained in anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, Autism, ADHD and anger.

Welcome! Finding a counselor with whom you can feel safe and vulnerable is so important, so I would like to share a bit more about myself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Pennsylvania. My counseling style is empathetic, caring, genuine, strengths-based, and holistic. My work includes the use of evidence-base approaches, as well as mindfulness and respect of clients’ diverse backgrounds. I strive to help clients grow by working with them in a collaborative, validating, supportive manner. My aim is to help clients feel centered, comfortable being their authentic selves, and empowered to cope with life’s challenges.

My name is Josie Villamar; God has blessed me with a great husband and a beautiful family. I am an active member of my church, and I enjoy having quality time with my loved ones. I love people; cooking, reading, traveling, and I enjoy the wonders of God's nature and outside activities. I have been practicing for many years, and my education background includes a Doctorate degree in Christian Counseling, a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a State certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and specialization and extensive training in Functional Family Therapy Approach.
