Although my preferred counseling interventions may vary upon your personal needs, I utilize a great deal of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my counseling approach.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. I started my career focusing on mental health. I worked with children and adolescents in a school based program as well as with adults in a community day program. Later, I began specializing in addiction at an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility. Most recently, I have been at an inpatient psychiatric hospital prior to moving full-time into private practice. I work with both individuals and families to address mental health and substance use concerns.

I have been in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the last 20 years. I have served as an Adjunct Professor for several Universities in the past & and I've run other service-related organizations throughout the years. Regardless of the many institutions that I have been involved with, my true love is practicing the Art of Psychotherapy. I counsel individuals, families & couples. I also provide group therapy and specialize in Anger, Depressive features & Anxiety. I also do a lot of work in the field of Addiction & Recovery. I listen with empathy and provide honest feedback to help people grow and heal. I have experience with diverse populations in addressing struggles with trauma histories, mood disorders, boundaries, identity, and relationships. We will address how to get through the worst parts of the day right away, but we also discover what is keeping us stuck in not so helpful patterns.
