Doy la bienvenida a clientes españoles y extranjeros a mi oficina. Como alguien con antecedentes multiculturales, disfruto brindando los servicios necesarios en todas las culturas. I believe in the importance of creating a therapeutic alliance where clients feel safe and free to explore and learn about themselves without fear of judgment. I understand that at times it can be difficult to take the first step and look for professional help, my personal stance is to empower my clients and guide them so they can find their own answers. I have worked with individuals and families from multiple backgrounds and age groups. I specialize in PTSD, anxiety, depression and life transitions.

I am dedicated to providing therapy services that cover a wide range of challenges and offer support to individuals facing trauma, grief, substance abuse, domestic violence, and various mental health disorders. I believe in truly understanding the complexities of people's lives and tailoring my approach to each individual's unique needs, whether children, adolescents, or adults.

I support individuals and families on their paths towards greater self-understanding, acceptance and awareness. I emphasize resilience as advocated by schools of positive psychology, mindfulness and a wellness model of therapy. I work closely with clients to identify and unravel the distortions in their perception and communication which interfere with healthy relationships and a healthy sense of self.

We serve a wide range of clients and have clinicians trained in trauma therapy with experience working with adults, teenagers, children, couples, and groups. We offer EMDR, DNMS, DBT, and CBT approaches to therapy. We offer bilingual psychotherapy for Spanish-speaking clients. We also offer couples therapy and workshops to enhance relationships. We have several clinicians with substance abuse and process addiction backgrounds for those who struggle with addiction in addition to mental health issues.

My background includes having worked in outpatient as well as private practice settings. I most commonly treat anxiety, life transitions, career exploration, ADHD, stress management, parenting support, and depression. I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy perspective but also employ various other therapeutic techniques to help you feel heard, validated, and empowered to make healthy choices. I am happy to work with clients on developing more contentment and serenity and less anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, or shame. You might be having a difficult time accepting yourself, accepting the shortcomings of others or accepting life’s struggles. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to dispute our irrational beliefs and create new alternative beliefs that are helpful to us.

Overcoming challenges while learning about yourself and your own resilience through therapy can be some of the most healing work. I understand the value of looking at challenges through the lens of trauma and how that affects all aspects of life. I have a passion for working with adolescents and athletes, as well as couples and parents. I am originally from Nicaragua and am able to conduct full sessions in Spanish, if needed.
