In session, we will look at what you are hoping to get from the counseling experience and collaboratively discover what will work for your situation toward getting unstuck from emotional, behavioral and relationship issues. I commonly see people with concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, financial difficulties, anger management, addictions, and grief. I also specialize in couples counseling issues such as communication, trust, and infidelity, and guide you through turbulent times. I have been in practice for over 25 years.

Accepting New Clients I work with teens and adults from a client centered focus, using primarily CBT and EMDR, to help people who are struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. I use a trauma- informed lens, creating a safe environment where healing can occur at a comfortable pace.

I provide a strengths-based client-focused approach for a variety of mental health and addiction issues. I have worked in the mental health and addiction field for 9 years. I believe each person has unique strengths, and I've seen firsthand how people can make positive change utilizing them. My approach is supportive and direct, and I like to challenge you to be your best self.

I graduated from the University of Louisville, with a Master of Science in Social Work and a Military Social Work Specialization, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (LCSW). I am skilled in working with veterans and their families, as well as civilians, dealing with multifaceted issues. As a veteran myself, I feel that the experience offers me insight and appreciation to the complexity of issues that may stem from being a part of the military.
