I have an affinity for working with people who have suffered from childhood abuse. Many people who have experienced childhood abuse suffer from low-self esteem, depression, and anxiety. These conditions cause people to have difficulties connecting with others, maintaining a steady job or to have healthy families. Such individuals may experience workplace bullying or may feel chronically lonely. Other clientele that I enjoy working with have insecure attachment styles, are going through IVF or living in solitude not by choice.
You have gone to talk therapy for years and have not gotten better. Trauma is located in the subconscious/unconscious part of the brain and not in our conscious part which only gets activated through EMDR and brainspotting. Both EMDR and brainspotting have been proven to be successful for treating trauma. I extensively use both in my practice.
