I have spent a great deal of time working with addictive disorders and working with adolescents and young adults. The crux of my approach is simple - you, the client, are the focus. Cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and play therapy round it out. I know modern research shows that addictions are a very real 'disease' or 'injury'. If you fell out of a tree and broke your bone, you would likely go to an Urgent Care center and have a medical doctor reset and cast the bone. The same is true for addictions.
