I enjoy clients with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and problems. My personal style is warm and supportive, and my approach with clients is holistic in focus. My goal is for each client to achieve more personal awareness, emotional stability, and effective behavior as a result of our work together. Presenting issues might be: Depression; Bipolar disorder; Anxiety Disorders; Trauma/PTSD; Couple conflicts; Stress related medical problems; or Life transitions. I provide individual and couple therapy for teens thorugh adults.
I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have been a mental health provider for over 25 years in a variety of settings and I have been in private practice since 2004. I have additional certifications for trauma treatment, auricular (ear) acupuncture, and Heartmath biofeedback.
I use a variety of approaches, including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution focused therapy, biofeedback, IFS techniques, and psychoeducation. My primary concern is finding an effective individualized approach for each client. I have some long-term clients, but tend to use a more brief approach to therapy, around 10-12 sessions.
