I am a LCSW, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner & Certified iRest Teacher. I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, addiction, attachment/relational problems & grief/loss. You may be interested in decreasing stress & increasing more embodiment. By getting more in touch with your sensations, emotions & thoughts you will not only increase body awareness, but will decrease the physical tension that results from trauma. Whether you are struggling from stress, unhelpful behaviors or difficulty managing your mood, together we can work to increase your resiliency, self-regulation skills and capacity to connect more easily with self & others.
I provide an integrated approach to the healing of trauma and provide both a top down (Cognitive) and bottom up (Somatic) approach. I have additional training in DBT, CBT, CPT, NeuroAffective Touch, Kathy Kain's Touch Skills Training & iRest Yoga Nidra. My approach promotes embodied self-awareness in a genuine, warm, nonjudgemental manner.
Through our work together we may utilize a variety of approaches ranging from Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, as well as more traditional methods of psychotherapy to help you reach your goals.
