Refuge is a Dual- Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program at Shephearst Meadows designed for women. In a loving, safe and respectful environment we help women build a solid foundation for a life free from co-occurring addictions such as drugs and alcohol, as well as process addictions , such as disordered eating, shopping, pornography, sex and gambling. With physician support, women address painful patterns as they move toward healthier lives and relationships. The program consists of nine hours of group therapy weekly, individual, marital and family therapy and psychiatric care. Patients are also encouraged to attend 12 step meetings and work with a sponsor to enhance recovery.
