I use an holistic approach to therapy. I specialize in C-PTSD, complex trauma (a.k.a- "capital-T trauma") survivors of religious and childhood trauma. I am trained in bottom up brain therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting. I offer a calm, supportive and nonjudgemental approach to therapy. As Gabor Mate states in his book, "The Myth of Normal, "we each carry our wounds in our own way.Trauma is a psychic injury, lodged in our nervous system, mind, and body, lasting long past the originating incident or incidents." I assist clients in healing their wounds that contribute to the chaos in their nervous system, mind and/or their body.
I am certified in EMDR by the EMDR International Association. I have several trauma certifications. I am trained in dissociation and IFS informed. I continue evidence-based training through out the year to ensure I am up-to-date and well-rounded in my therapy approach. I am a Christian, however, I am not a faith base therapist.
As a trauma survivor myself, I can relate to the power of healing. Each person's wound is different. I approach each person's wound with curiosity and compassion. I do not claim to have all knowledge of the wounds. I have additional training and experience working with Substance use issues and recovery, LGBTQ+, Veteran and first responders clients.
