Despite our best efforts to change, obstacles can be terribly difficult to overcome in isolation; I am dedicated to creating a safe space in which we can explore the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relational patterns that may be causing you to feel stuck. I work with young adults on the various challenges that arise when transitioning into adulthood, including creating healthy romantic/peer relationships, early career development, and challenging family dynamics. I have experience supporting individuals in exploring their gender, sexual, and romantic identity development, and welcome members of the LGBTQQIA+ community.

It is important to find a therapist who helps you to feel safe and understood but is still effective in facilitating change. In my psychotherapy practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat issues such as depression, anxiety, sleeping issues, procrastination, low self-esteem, and anger. I provide support during significant life stressors, including career/work issues, relationship turmoil, pregnancy/parenting concerns, and bereavement. I am also a native New Yorker, and understand many of the unique issues we face.

I am personally in recovery from a 13 year Migraine headache and anxiety condition; biofeedback and counseling helped me to put this debilitating set of symptoms into remission without the use of medications. Beck (they/them/theirs) believes therapy can be used as a tool to change behaviors that no longer serve us, to further and deepen self-discovery, and to learn how to relate more holistically to others and to ourselves. They utilize a psychodynamic approach, weaving in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), creative and artistic methods, feminist and social justice-based approaches, and relational therapy. Beck believes it is essential to invite the conversation of identities into the therapeutic space, as identity is integral to how we move through the world.
