My work includes working with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, and chronic and severe mental illness. I have experience working with all age ranges and ethnicities. I welcome clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations. I have ten years plus experience of working within the field of psychology in a variety of settings including drug and alcohol therapy, psychiatric crisis stabilization, forensics, and individual and group therapies.

I have received extensive training in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and continue to utilize these models in my work today. Together, they provide effective strategies for change balanced with mindfulness and acceptance. As a clinician, I aim to provide authenticity and evidenced based practices to ensure that you receive effective and compassionate care. I have experience working with individuals from 13 - 90 years old and enjoy having a diverse case load. In addition to DBT and CBT, I have been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Prolonged Exposure.

I specialize in treating couples and individuals that are struggling with sex and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, and sexual addiction. I am a certified sex addiction therapist (CSAT) and couples therapy specialist. I also offer EMDR to clients for such issues as trauma, loss, anxiety, and addictions. I work with all genders, ages, and sexual orientations.

With over 21 years of experience with crisis intervention, interpersonal violence, trauma, grief, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through work as a Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Counselor, Crime Victim’s Advocate within the criminal court system, a Director of a sexual assault and violence prevention program on a college campus, and primary therapist at an outpatient eating disorder treatment center, I am skilled at creating a safe space for clients. I see clients who need support in various stages of life, who are experiencing difficult situations and transitions.

We’re unfortunately not born with a manual on how to live life. It’s unpredictable complexities jolt us out of the path we had so carefully planned for ourselves, and leave us in a place of feeling lost. These obstacles can appear in various ways; parenting, relationships, work, loss, violence, and sometimes do not appear at all except for a knot in our stomach. I'm a licensed clinical social worker graduated from the University of Southern California, with 7 years of culturally diverse clinical experience, ranging from non-profits to government agencies. My specialty is to work with Asian adults and adolescents to find ways to balance their cultural identity and life challenges.
