Asking for help is not easy, so congratulations on taking the initial step toward self-improvement and fulfillment. Through our partnership, I hope to help you better understand yourself, your relationships and to help you see patterns that may be causing emotional distress. My training as a therapist is rooted in clinical social work, which conceptualizes mental health and healing from various individual, social, and cultural vantage points. Talking about issues in therapy may initially be difficult, but with time you will see yourself in a new light, and you will be able to accomplish positive change.

The clients which I feel very adept at working with effectively could be presenting any number of issues that haunt couples, children, adolescents, and individuals. These concern developmental, emotional, relational, and social topics.

Unique life circumstances are common in my practice, and I am familiar with the challenges entailed by unconventional lifestyles. Especially creative, musical, expressive, and artistic ones. In the current complicated & uncertain climate and COVID, many of us are experiencing increased anxiety & other concerns. I specialize in helping individuals and families heal from traumatic and stressful experiences, including family conflicts, narcissistic abuse, hoarding disorder, parental alienation, and challenging adult children. You may not know what to expect from therapy, but you know you need to make some changes in your life so you can move forward. Stress, anxiety, and depression are highly prevalent in our lives, and sometimes people need help and support in dealing with difficult/stressful situations. I am a trauma therapist specializing in somatic psychology that has found success in using a mind/body approach to psychotherapy.

The courageous step of embarking on an experience of bettering one’s life is not easily done. I truly am honored to be a part of that process. I don't live in an ivory tower of psychoanalytic theory and am told I'm easy to talk to and compassionate. I believe in personal growth and walk the talk. I returned to grad school at age 60 to follow my lifelong dream to be a therapist and provide a welcoming environment where you as an individual or a couple can experience self-determination.
