I am eager to work with individuals and couples from various backgrounds and to help guide them through challenges, struggles, and unexpected life changes. I especially have a passion for working with children, teens, and adolescents. I take an evidence-based approach that combines well-researched interventions from Cognitive Behavioral therapy and brief strategic models to help guide and inform the delivery of treatment and services.
I provide the client with a safe and comfortable environment that allows the client to open up and express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions free of judgment. I focus on establishing reachable goals with the clients that can be maintained after the therapeutic process has ended.
I view the client as the expert of their own lives, and help in guiding well informed decision making. I take an empathic approach to the client and therapist relationship that is strengthened with respect to culture, beliefs, and values of the client.
