My work in counseling pairs (couples, families, colleagues) focuses on attachment, cultural identity, abandonment/neglect, identity, roles and expectations, personal and generational trauma, communication, repairing fractures and collaboration for a different future. We'll navigate experiences that result in guilt, sadness, worry, anger, betrayal, loss of trust and more that affect day-to-day function. We will identify and address the ways these experiences cause, main, or exacerbate depression, neurodivergence, anxiety, substance use, body image issues, PTSD, OCD and more.
Counseling with me will be a process that uses culturally competent and evidence-based psychotherapies and strategies to facilitate personal and relational growth, behavior change, conflict resolution, assertiveness, boundary setting, trigger identification, appropriate self-soothing, effective cognitive processing and emotion regulation.
I believe that people can either overcome their circumstance or build emotional resilience to live with the longterm impact of their experiences. I instill hope and guide you to think of and treat yourself (and others) with compassion.
