About
The idea was to help children, adolescents, and families by supplying mental health services in a fun and easily understood way. Along the way, we found that our mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Autplay Therapy techniques is also appealing to adults.
We run Individual, Social Skills Groups and Therapeutic Roleplaying Groups. We hand-pick games that promote positive social relationships build our ability to communicate and develop emotional wellness and personal growth. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy techniques to help children, adolescents, families, and adults.
GATE’s focus is not solely on therapeutic gaming, as your wellness is our core focus. If more traditional therapy is needed or more suited, then that is the approach we will take. For some, talk therapy supplies the catharsis they are seeking. For others, gaming therapy can create positive change as well. GATE works with you to try and meet your needs.

Gaming Approaches Toward Education, LLC
G.A.T.E. helps youths through role play and tabletop games to build skills that are developed within their therapy session. Our goal is to build up our youths and through them, their friends, family, and communities. Our game-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) groups are separated by chronological age/developmental age, diagnosis, interests, and goals. Clinicians and their assistants will be working together to aid youths using role-playing, collaborative, and/or co-creative play. Less intense social skills groups are available, and rates vary based on social skills groups, group counseling sessions, and youth's needs.
