Mel has eight years of experience working with people with eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Her experience also includes working with clients who live with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other co-occurring disorders.

Fundamentally I believe in meeting a client where he, she, or they are at in the moment. Knowing where a client is followed by learning where they want go in personal development. Working with clients to help them along their journey to that goal. Sometimes goals change, or circumstances emerge that alter a path. Transitioning to new goals or paths, or after bump in the road or derailment getting back on track is not easy. Everyone needs support to help through transitions and hurdles. One of the most difficult things a person does is ask for help –walking through the door the first time.

My philosophy is that of possibility; regardless of the obstacles a person may be faced with, there is almost always a solution. I provide support and guidance to help clients find solutions to life problems and work toward finding effective ways to respond to life challenges. My approach is supportive and collaborative, with a strong interest in building upon individual strengths. Goals are aimed to bring about a feeling of relief, a new perspective, and a set of strategies that promote change along with a sense of holistic well being.

He is Licensed in 14 states and has served clients from all age groups. Over the years, Dr. Jeff has organized lectures and various events in the community, including excursions and retreats for couples to improve their communication and better understand each other. He has experience working with athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. In addition, Dr. Jeff has also worked with clients in the Movie, Music, and Entertainment Industries.

Steven Believes that the key to a successful therapeutic experience begins with an environment where one feels safe and accepted. He strives to create this through understanding each client’s unique experience and goals with consistent attention to non-judgment. Steven works from a solution focused philosophy and incorporates Cognitive behavioral strategies while maintaining a focus on emotional awareness.
