"Therapy is not surgery; you don't go to sleep and wake up with all of your problems solved. The sweat and strain and heavy lifting are mostly yours. But with this, however, you can feel more satisfied with therapy when actively involved in the sessions. It is my role to work with your motivation and continue to foster this growth towards positive change. I operate from a person-centered approach, which emphasizes being genuine, providing unconditional positive regard, and empathic understanding in the efforts to foster our therapeutic connection to enhance this emotional and powerful relationship."

"Even though I specialize in trauma, I work with individuals, couples, and families coming to therapy with a wide spectrum of issues. My goal is to help clients reduce, manage, and resolve their issues. Clients learn to increase their emotional IQs and emotional regulation skills, develop better communication skills, strengthen their most resourced self, and manage ego states (my anxious part, depressed part, my angry part, my traumatized part, my addiction part, etc.). I believe it is important for individual to receive tools they can use out of the therapy session. You deserve to get something for your hard work, time, and money. "

"Have you had a recent "awakening" in your life? Seeking to better understand yourself? Perhaps your feelings have felt more intense: anxiety, depression, confusion, or desire to find purpose to life is weighing on your heart. You look around - seeking answers, understanding, and a deeper healing. Maybe a life situation unfolded and you were suddenly on a path you never imagined (divorce, moving, job change, etc). Or you have a health situation that isn't resolving, despite trying every tool in your box. If this is you, I can support you. I approach all my clients with the understanding that we are mind, body, & spirit."

Gambling Therapists
A compulsive gambler or a pathological gambler is someone who is unable to resist his or her impulses to gamble. The urge to gamble becomes so great that tension can only be relieved by more gambling.

There is a very fine line between problem gambling or 55105 gambling addiction and gambling too much. The critical sign of problem gambling is often hidden from awareness, with denial. Many gamblers in 55105 typically do not know they have a problem. Admitting you have a problem, or may have a problem, is the first step to recovery.

Treatment options include individual and group psychotherapy, and self-help support groups such as Gamblers Anonymous (a 12-step program for gamblers). Abstinence principles that apply to other types of addiction are also relevant in the treatment of compulsive gambling behavior in 55105.

Recently, medications such as antidepressants, opioid antagonists, and mood stabilizers have been shown to be beneficial in combination with gambling treatment by a 55105 gambling therapist or gambling therapists in 55105 or those experienced with gambling behaviors in 55105.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 55105 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 55105 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 55105 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 55105 or family therapy in 55105.
