I offer counseling for PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD and relationship difficulties. If you experienced trauma in your adulthood or childhood, I will teach you how to use relaxation and grounding to manage distress, process and make sense of traumatic events and equip you to respond rather than react in triggering situations. If you need counseling for anxiety and depression, we will work on skills to regulate your emotions, bring your anxiety to a healthy level, experience joy, purpose and connection with others. If you seek counseling for OCD, I can help you tolerate uncertainty and fears to improve your quality of life.
If you struggle in your relationships, I will help you connect with your feelings and express them in a way that increases your chances to be heard and understood, practice healthy conflict resolution skills, process past traumas that might be interfering with your ability to be intimate and communicate well with your partner.
I hold PhD in Counseling from UNCC and MA in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Seminary. I am trained in Gottman Method to Couples Counseling, Prepare-Enrich, EMDR (trauma counseling), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy for marriage counseling).
