Gail Wodkiewicz's Groups
Learning and Using DBT Skills Group
This is a closed group, with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks/groups. We've all found ourselves in a crisis, in conflict with someone or overwhelmed by emotion or circumstances. It can sometimes be difficult to maintain emotional balance. It takes skills to solve life's problems while enduring intense emotion. In DBT, four skills modules are taught. The intent is to help with anger, episodic depression, anxiety, intense relationships, impulsivity, stress and feelings of emptiness. New skills are presented each week and the goal is to gain new skills and to use them when really needed.
Parents of Addicts Group
This is an open group that meets twice monthly to support parents and caregivers of those suffering with addiction. Tools and resources are shared in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Support groups for families of addicts can help for many reasons, and they're one of the best things you can do for yourself if you have an addict in your life. Often people with addicted family members can experience mental health issues such as anxiety or depression, and our group can provide you with emotional stability and support. Sliding scale is available and space is limited, so registration is required.
Self Esteem and Women's Empowerment Group
Goddess Rising: Connecting with the Empowered Divine Feminine. This is a closed 7 week, intimate women's group held in a safe and sacred space. Focusing on self-esteem, self-discovery, self-empowerment and connecting to our innate Divine selves. This group will offer you an opportunity to identify your inner strength, resiliency, and ability to thrive in life. The world needs women of excellence and strength and we owe it to ourselves to be nothing less than this. This group has a limited number of participants, and fills up quickly. If full, a new cycle will begin again shortly.
