I have been working in the field of mental health for over 20 years. My experience includes working in the group home setting, private school settings, crisis outreach, outpatient mental health and inpatient psychiatric. I have provided assessments for the Erie County and Domestic Violence Court System and completed risks assessment in the hospital emergency room to determine the need for acute psychiatric hospitalization. From Pain to Peace
Our support group is for those who have lost a loved one to substance abuse disorder. We provide a compassionate, understanding space for individuals grieving this unique and often complex loss. We offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment where participants can share their feelings, experiences, and struggles with others who truly understand. The group is facilitated by Gail Holler Kennedy, LMHC, and Jill Maiorana, Certified grief coach via Zoom. Losing someone to an overdose is incredibly painful and can bring a mix of emotions—grief, guilt, anger, confusion. Healing takes time, and there’s no right or wrong way to grieve.
