Welcome! It takes courage to reach out and find a therapist. Maybe you have an inner dialogue that is critical, have trouble initiating things and following through, are experiencing relationship struggles or are curious about why something keeps happening even though you mean to change. Sometimes the relationship between food and body is complicated and talking about it can help you to understand more fully. Loss of identity due to a change in job, parenthood, career, sexual identity or physical illness may make you need to explore new ways of interacting with yourself and those around you.
I am passionate about learning, listening and understanding you in the context of your world. I have decades of experience and training and would love to hear your story! How you want to write the next chapter is something we can explore together.
I incorporate both analytic and cognitive behavioral methods into my work. I am a faculty member in the Postgraduate Programs in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at Adelphi University/Derner Institute, and my clinical training was done at New York University.
