Anxiety is a bitch - the heart racing, chest tightening, skin crawling, keeps you up all night kind. If you relate... Same. Growing up in emotionally or physically unsafe environments, being in inconsistent and unstable relationships, and living on edge with the fear of never reaching enoughness, well, it really fucks with your head. You're on guard, overachieving, people pleasing, and quieting your voice as a means to survive with the least amount of damage. You say “I’m fine” because "I'm fine" is easier and less exhausting than the disappointment of exposing your thoughts and feelings only to feel shamed and misunderstood.
Healing is on the other side of facing parts of yourself you've rejected. I'm not gonna lie, it hurts at first, until one day you can notice the hurt without getting lost in it. My approach to therapy is relational. In sessions we dig deep, while also leaning into some dark humor because I know that's one of your go to coping skills. Again, Same.
I'll cheer you on and I'll challenge you when needed. I'll show up authentically, and I will support you in doing the same. My goal is to give you a space where you can be your full, unfiltered self. A space to honor the raw emotional suckage of trauma and empower you to step into yourself, because anxiety is a bitch but life doesn't have to be.
