My aim as a mental health counselor is to create an empathetic and curiosity-driven environment for clients’ to pursue and explore growth, well-being, and authenticity. I strive to create an LGBTQIA+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally-informed environment where clients can experience connection and compassion in the therapeutic relationship and with themselves. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that works towards clients’ goals by examining emotions, thoughts, the mind-body connection, and relational patterns.
I integrate several different theories based on my clients’ individual needs and goals, including mindfulness and somatic approaches, psychodynamic and attachment-based theories, and relational-cultural theories.
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, and concerns and issues faced by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse communities. I received my Masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU as well as an Advanced Certificate in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services.
