My name is Gabriella Tavarez and I am a licensed social worker. I have recently graduated from Rutgers University with my MSW with a clinical specialization. I am currently working toward earning my clinical licensure. During my time at Rutgers, I have interned at a high school where I held individual sessions with the students who attend. I enjoy working with adolescent clients and feel that I can relate to them well. I have also enjoyed working with children and adults. I have had the pleasure of providing services for clients who experience depressive or anxiety-related disorders.
Interventions that I implement in therapy include CBT, DBT, and solution-focused treatment. I am a strong supporter of marginalized populations, such as LGBTQ+ and people of color. I believe all of my clients have the right to express themselves however they may choose.
My form of treatment is founded on a strong therapeutic relationship, and ensuring that clients feel safe and secure whenever they are in my care. As a therapist, it is my goal to help clients become the best versions of themselves whatever that may look like to them.
