In my experience with clients over the years, I have found that relationships are at the core of mental health, and the therapeutic relationship is fundamental in the therapy process. My primary goal as your counselor is to be an authentic safe place for you to be your authentic vulnerable self. Sometimes we just need support talking it out or learning how to cope with stressors, and sometimes there is a deeper pain underneath that we need to heal. Regardless of how you got here, as humans, the journey of life compels us to grow and evolve. I am here to support you on this journey, through the good times and the bad.
I am an EMDR Trained Clinician and I specialize in treating trauma. Aside from my specialization, I have clinical experience helping clients with a variety of issues, ranging from acute challenges to general stress management. It is important to me to meet your unique needs, so I use various approaches when working with my clients.
From personal experience, I know starting therapy can be terrifying. As your counselor, I hope to make it less scary for you, but sometimes we have to surrender to the fear and do it anyway.
