Psychotherapy is a powerful opportunity to better understand oneself, relationships, and one’s history. While some people come to me seeking relief from the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, or poor self-esteem, others wish to wrest themselves from a more opaque sense of disconnection, emptiness, or dissatisfaction. Regardless of what brings you to psychotherapy, I offer a space that is warm, empathically attuned, and collaborative. Together we will cultivate insight into the roots of your difficulties but also move you towards a new, complex, and more fulfilling experience of yourself and life.

It was Frida Fromm-Reichmann who said that "the patient is in need of an experience, not an explanation." This observation has guided me in my practice. While insight into our difficulties' origins is clarifying and often involves exploration of the past, such exploration without new experiences often fails to provide the deep and lasting change we seek.

I provide psychotherapy to individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns, many of whom have not experienced relief from other therapies. My approach is experiential, psychodynamic, and individually tailored to your goals, needs, and circumstances.
