My primary focuses include working with both children and adults who struggle with the effects of trauma, anxiety, and OCD. I have worked as a therapist with the Child Trauma Services Program within the OU Health Sciences Center where I supported youth diagnosed with PTSD, have practiced within the UCO Psychology Clinic supporting adults with various presentations of anxiety (e.g. phobias, panic, social anxiety), and have accrued ample specialized training and experience in supporting individuals with OCD. I am committed to utilizing evidence-based therapy practices and recognize each client as deserving of individualized care.
I am trained in Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and commonly use ACT components in session. Notably, I am trained in trauma-focused treatments for PTSD including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I wholeheartedly believe each person has the right to effective mental health care, and am hopeful my own struggles with seeking specialized care may allow a unique perspective into this often challenging process. I strive toward cultural competence, am a vocal advocate for marginalized groups, and embrace versatility in meeting each of my client's needs!
