My goal as a therapist is to help empower my clients to build fulfilling and meaningful lives that are in line with their values; for some clients that might mean getting support in exploring what a meaningful life means to them. Others may already have specific goals in mind and are looking for support in the form of skills and tools to get there. There is no one “right way” to be a healthy, fulfilled person. I am especially passionate about working with polyamorous, queer, and neurodivergent adults, and I strive to provide affirming and culturally humble care to all my clients.
I take an integrated and client-centered approach to therapy, which means I work with each client to figure out what type(s) of therapy will be most helpful for them. Some of my major influences are intersectional feminist therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I work with clients ages 15 and up on a variety of concerns. Some of my areas of particular specialty include: grief/bereavement, childhood trauma, culturally-based trauma, eating disorders, personality disorders, suicidal thoughts and self-injury, and identity concerns/life transitions.
