You don't have to keep holding it all together-going through the motions on your own, guessing what normal is, not knowing anything better.
You've worked hard to build a life that looks good on paper-career, independence, maybe even a relationship or side hustle. But, underneath the surface, you're exhausted. The anxiety won't let up. Your inner critic never takes a day off. And, no matter how much you achieve, it never feels like enough.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who you really are, you're in the right place. I work with women and LGBTQ+ people who are ready to get to the why behind their patterns.

This is a huge step for you. It is so easy to take care of others, but we often forget to take care of ourselves. Sounds like many of us, right? Thanks for gracing me with your presence. Can we be genuinely honest with one another? There's a lot going on in the world today; enough to bring anyone to their “breaking point.” Are you faced with the demands from work, school, family relationships, or life? Have your emotions been “all over the place?” Are you ready to be a change agent in your life? Not sure where to start or what is next? If you answered yes to any of those questions, it’s time to talk.

You are carrying the weight of the world, trying to hold everything together while feeling like you’re failing at being a good enough parent, partner, or friend. You wake up already overwhelmed. You push yourself through the day, constantly worried that everyone will see how exhausted and disconnected you really feel.
You don’t want to burden the people you love, so you hold it all in. But the past keeps showing up — those old wounds and messages that whisper you weren’t good enough, that you should have done more, been more. Your mind races, replaying every mistake,

I love working with children, teens, and young adults! I can support young people as they walk through developmental changes and lifestyle transitions including new schools, anxiety and worry, family changes, parent divorce, trauma and loss. Often times, these changes create BIG feelings that can be hard to understand and express. I enjoy helping young people understand their feelings and partnering with parents to help their child learn to express them in a healthy way.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, I’m glad you’re here. As your therapist, it's my intent to guide you toward deeper understanding of yourself and give you the opportunity to process your emotions in a safe, empathetic environment. Anxiety, depression, and trauma can take up so much space in your life that it makes it hard to have patience, connect with loved ones, and focus on your responsibilities and passions. In therapy with me, we can gently challenge unhealthy thought patterns and establish healthier coping skills to lessen the power these issues hold over you.

I work mainly with clients in comprehensive DBT. That means we’re working together with structure, skills, and a strong, honest relationship to help life feel more manageable and aligned with your values. DBT is the main framework I use, but I pull in other approaches when they help—especially ones that pay attention to relationships, the body, and the stuff under the surface that’s harder to name. I’m warm, direct, and grounded, and I recognize that life and emotions are complicated. You’re the expert on your own life—I’m here to walk with you as we sort through what’s working, what’s not, and what might need to shift.

If you are seeking counseling, you might be trying to make sense of challenging relationships, in the middle of an unforeseen transition, or just starting to process wounds from your past. With everything that you are dealing with, you may have noticed some patterns emerging that keep you from feeling like yourself--maybe criticism directed inward or at others, coping with food or substances, or just shutting down completely.

Counseling is an art that requires the collaborative input of the client. You are the expert in your life while I am here to guide you along the path that leads to your desired growth. I look at the big picture of systemic problems and work on fixing the root cause rather than simply treating the symptoms. Clients can expect to feel connected, heard, and understood. You will not feel “psychoanalyzed” with me, yet you can expect to increase your understanding and self-awareness in relation to your mental health and behavioral reactions.

"Why does anybody tell a story? It does indeed have something to do with faith. Faith that the universe has meaning, that our little human lives are not irrelevant, that what we choose or say or do matters, matters cosmically." L'Engle Join me in telling your story and we'll narrate your current stressors into a more meaningful life. I offer calm and focus as I engage clients and address their issues. Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
