I discover with each client his or her strengths and ways to utilize these strengths to facilitate growth and healing. I combine a knowledge of psychotherapeutic strategies for healing with spiritual principles to weave a pathway for growth and healing for each precious soul.

Life brings its blessings and its challenges that are best met with thoughtfulness and compassion to ourselves and those we cherish. In therapy we can explore and focus on our individual strengths while building on the support from people in our lives during times hard choices and circumstances. With a solution focused approach, we can evaluate where we are stuck in life, how it may help and harm us, and if and how we are ready to make a change. Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, family dysfunction, intimacy, codependency , and addiction are the focus of my practice with adults, teens, and families.

Sarah believes that each client is the author of his or her own life experiences, and has the capability of maneuvering and pushing forward through circumstances in life. She recognizes it can be difficult and scary learning and implementing the tools needed to accomplish fears and worries. "It's like exercising a new muscle. It may hurt and get sore by working-out, but the muscle grows stronger the more effort you put into working on it." She has extensively researched the concept of empathy to help clients work through their trauma to develop secure attachment styles as well as understanding perspectives and co-dependency actions.

I enjoy working with families and individual adults dealing with conflict, codependency , depression, anxiety, some trauma, and life transitions. Each of us is faced with unique challenges, but I believe each family and individual, no matter how broken, also embodies the unique strengths that can be used to overcome these challenges. My role is to walk alongside those I work with to help identify these strengths and restore relationships that will help create lasting change.
