I can help you deal with infidelity, whether you are the wounder or the wounded.
Over my 30 plus year career, I have helped many to both better understand their issues and then come up with solutions for them. In my roles as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law, a grandmother and a friend, I have a first hand understanding of many of your issues. And I don't just listen; I offer guidance and advice in an empathetic and non-judgmental way. I look forward to talking with you and helping you achieve your goals.

What does it mean to be a man, and more importantly how does that feel? Together we will unlearn the limiting beliefs that stem from our upbringing and societal narratives, and instead learn how to acknowledge, accept, and deal with the full spectrum of emotions we have. Do you feel you are not properly heard in your relationship by your partner? Do the same troubles keep coming up within your relationship? I assist couples dealing with conflicts within their relationship such as trust, communication, infidelity, and the effects of past traumas surfacing.

Now offering EMDR intensives! Maybe you don't have the time to meet regularly week to week but really have been wanting to do EMDR. Intensives are a great way to process trauma or attachment wounds at one time. Those triggers are becoming more and more overwhelming but so does trying to make it for therapy every week. You have tried traditional therapy and even talking with friends but nothing has worked. Your triggers just keep getting bigger no matter how much you try to “think positive”. It’s just not enough. Everything you try and your past still haunts you. The pressure

It’s truly incredible when a person sees that there’s something inside them that they want to work on, and then they go after that. It’s incredible that you’re here, that you’re searching. The people who want to be the best version of themselves, who want to break “generational cycles” and work on their mental health so that they can pass down health, wholeness, peace, and light to the next generation - those are the superheroes. Our mental health is our foundation for how we relate to ourselves and world around us after all - Our God, ourselves, and others.

Sometimes we come to a place where we realize the life we are living is not aligned with our personal values, purpose, or desires. There may be patterns that have served a purpose in the past, helping us manage fear when we have felt unsafe and haven't had the resources to effectively cope. While these strategies may have helped you survive, they may now be holding your body and mind hostage to the past. Together we can explore these patterns with the goal to help you develop personal insight, learn new coping strategies, and heal into a fulfilled life.

No matter how big or how small, your struggle is valid. So often guys walk into the office thinking they need to carry around everything as if their pain is a badge of honor. You don’t have to carry everything. You don’t have to be alone in your struggle. It is ok to ask for help. Therapy can be a place where you come to learn more about the “why you do what you do” or it can be a place where you can talk without being judged or even fixed. I want to be a part of ushering in a new age of males. Ones that are willing to understand who they are. Ones that are willing to deal with their pain, so others don’t take the brunt.

Infidelity Therapists

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
