Hi there! My name is Mayra Richards and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I’ve been counseling for 6 years and it is an honor to get to sit with every client. I love getting the opportunity to guide people in their journey of personal healing and self discovery. My heart as a therapist is to help people connect with God, themselves, and others so they can find fulfillment and purpose. I love listening to you, helping you find solutions, psycho-educating you about emotions and most of all creating a safe place to process and attain healing.
In practice, I utilize Attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Family Systems, and Emotional Focused therapy, among others. She is currently EMDR trained, Prepare Enrich Certified, trained in Trauma Focused CBT and TeleMental Health.
I value the impact of childhood and adolescent experiences on adult identity, relationships, and behavior. Consequently, my heart as a therapist is to help people connect with God, themselves, and others so they can find fulfillment and peace, happiness, and purpose.
