I provide a safe space to help clients explore and understand their behaviors assisting them with decreasing depression and anxiety while helping them in having more healthy, fulfilling, and connected relationships.
Life struggles and the need for self understanding typically prompts one to reach out and contact a therapist for help. I provide a safe non-judgmental place to discuss these struggles and then work with the client to formulate a plan for a productive first session. Having the opportunity to be heard, understood, and validated while helping the client understand their behaviors make sense takes them from hopeless to hopeful. I work very hard in normalizing clients behaviors through insight work and offering tools for managing their life in more in successful ways.

Are you STRESSED OUT, DEPRESSED , ANXIOUS, or ANGRY? Sometimes you just need someone to listen, but it can be hard to get others to understand what you are going through. My role is to reflect to you how you feel and get you to the other side of life's messes. Do you ask yourself why you no longer enjoy things, why you doubt yourself, why you can't sleep, or why you have mood swings? Getting your peace of mind, your self confidence and your voice back is important. Life is HARD and you may feel that you are probably dealing with things that NO ONE could possibly understand. I provide a safe space to talk about ANYTHING.

WHAT TO DO, WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. God didn't design you for defeat. He designed you for victory. Sometimes it feels like the world is ripping apart at the seams, and it feels like your heart can't take anymore hurt. But no matter what the world throws at you each day-- anxiety, depression , fear, confusion, temptation -- you have a choice on how to respond. All too often, these fears are crippling, keeping us from the life God has called you to live. Through the practical application of God's word, you can gain a fresh focus and purpose, become a person of character, and shine a light into your darkness.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
