I provide a safe space to help clients explore and understand their behaviors assisting them with decreasing depression and anxiety while helping them in having more healthy, fulfilling, and connected relationships.
Life struggles and the need for self understanding typically prompts one to reach out and contact a therapist for help. I provide a safe non-judgmental place to discuss these struggles and then work with the client to formulate a plan for a productive first session. Having the opportunity to be heard, understood, and validated while helping the client understand their behaviors make sense takes them from hopeless to hopeful. I work very hard in normalizing clients behaviors through insight work and offering tools for managing their life in more in successful ways.

Licensed to practice telehealth with people located in Georgia or Florida. You are too familiar with stress, worry, and anxiety - even overthinking. Are you feeling lonely, inadequate, socially anxious, even panicky? Sick and tired of living constantly anxious and fearful? You can be helped to grow and expand into a state of self-confidence and empowerment to live a life worth living. Avoidance and self-medicating with alcohol/drugs can leave you high and dry - even feeling worse! You can learn how to make your fears and worries smaller and manageable, and practice the steps toward leading a satisfying life. This is too important.

I am interested in patients who want to be joyful and content, to cherish their relationships and appreciate the present. Many of us feel pressured, juggling many obligations, believing we need more, more achievements, more things. This "unsatisfactoriness" leads to depression and anxiety . We will suffer less if we appreciate the present more, whether we are caring for children or an aging parent or facing aging ourselves. I am interested in helping people who want to become happier by living in the present and letting go of beliefs that create suffering.

Anxiety tends to be exhausting and absolutely takes a toll on your self-esteem and zeal for life. You have hopes of a full life with an even fuller list of goals and anxiety seems to be standing in the way at every turn. You have reached a point where you recognize that you have no more time, energy, and emotional capacity to bear the burden of being anxious, afraid, and negative and now is the time to step up to the challenge of overcoming anxiety . Having worked with people from all over the world I have seen anxiety in its many forms and know first hand that it can be conquered.

I am an Anxiety , OCD and Trauma specialist. When clients come to work with me they are often struggling with fear of the unknown, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, behavioral and mental compulsions, negative intrusive thoughts and other such patterns that are taking them deeper into the fear spiral. In therapy, I support my clients in developing a kinder relationship with themselves while becoming more conscious of the negative coping patterns that are holding them in cycles of pain. We work on shifting this while also developing the positive coping skills needed to move towards a healthier, freer and more joyful life.

There are times where we need a bit more support and perhaps an unbiased non-judgmental person to offer that lending ear. Depression, anxiety and stressors can be debilitating for anyone who has been affected by it regardless of age, gender or ethnicity. Therapy is a journey that can offer that support in which the therapist and client work together collaboratively in care. We will both row that boat together to get you to your established goal.

Anxiety Therapists

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
