I address issues ranging from anxiety, depression, marital/relationship, parenting/ family concerns to life transitions and executive/organizational development.
I frequently work with clients who have been in counseling before but who continue to struggle with variations of the same problems. I am convinced that an active, collaborative relationship between therapist and client is essential to achieving change. Emphasis is given to understanding motivation and learning from natural consequences.

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family.
Reaching out to a therapist for the first time can be intimidating, but I'm not. I'm honored to work with you and I genuinely want to help. For example, you’ve carried the weight for so long — always the strong one. But deep down, you’re ready for something to shift. Growing up with a narcissistic or mentally unstable parent left you doubting yourself, and gave you trauma that is holding you back. Now, it’s time to heal. In our work, you’ll learn to trust yourself, set boundaries, and feel truly enough. My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and tailored to you. I help clients who are ready to create real, lasting change.

Finding a therapist can feel like online dating, but with more anxiety. You're looking for someone you can trust with your innermost thoughts, your biggest fears, and the messy parts of life that don't make it to your feed. I'm committed to creating a space that feels less like a sterile clinic and more like a warm conversation.

My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief or relationship patterns that leave them feeling responsible for others while their own needs go unmet. Many come to therapy feeling stuck in self-doubt, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling emotionally exhausted from trying to keep everything together. Using EMDR therapy in a supportive and compassionate environment, I help clients process difficult experiences, build confidence, develop healthier boundaries, and move forward with greater calm, clarity, and self-trust. I also offer Brainspotting.

Are you struggling with feelings that you can't quite put into words? Have you attempted to mask this with unhealthy behaviors and coping that has led to guilt, shame or self-doubt? Maybe just being forced to "push through" because life has given you no other alternatives. Potentially these emotions have gotten in the way of your success and or every day life (job, school, relationships), and, you have turned to every avenue for help, but still not found yourself feeling any better? If this is you then your feelings are valid. I help individuals who are struggling to get unstuck in tackling the many challenges of life.

I believe that our thoughts and experiences shape the way we interact with the world. I believe that each person is a unique individual, and strategies that work best for one client may not work best for another. My goal is to meet you where you are, establish where you’d like to be, and work with you to determine the best way to get there. I work hard to establish a good rapport with my clients and use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, client centered and solution focused techniques in my practice. I aim to provide you with practical strategies that are realistic for you to incorporate in your daily life.

I work well with the client who genuinely wants to seek out counseling in order to find answers, solutions, or different perspectives to their struggles. Client success comes from being vulnerable, admitting and recognizing flaws, a desire to improve and become better, and an openness to being challenged. People come to counseling for a myriad or reasons including grief, unhappiness with life circumstances, feeling lost, lack of motivation, lack of purpose, and any other major life event causing turmoil. Through a trusted and trained adult in the therapeutic journey, clients will discover the neglected areas of their lives.

FAQ - About Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
