I taught middle and high school for 14 years before becoming a counselor. These experiences shaped the way I think and work with my clients. I would be happy to sit with anyone from any walk of life, but my work has often focused on young people and their families in conflict or crisis. Many of my clients are high schoolers struggling with school and relationships, or parents who just can't seem to connect to their child whom they love so much. I work with college-age people who are struggling with purpose and direction, and couples who can't seem to find the path back to each other.

Life can feel heavy—especially if you’ve spent years masking, navigating ADHD or Autism, or trying to fit into spaces that weren’t built for you.
My time at the Emory Autism Center deepened my understanding of neurodiversity and evidence-based care. While I often draw from CBT, I tailor each session to you—blending practical tools with compassionate insight. Together, we’ll explore how your body holds stress, how anger can mask deeper pain, and how healing unfolds through both mind and body.

Welcome! I am so glad you’re here!
I believe the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most powerful tools for healing and growth. You don’t have to face your struggles alone and you don’t have to have everything figured out to start.
Reaching out for help is not easy especially if you’ve lacked support in the past. But I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal. Sometimes, we just need someone to walk beside us to believe in us while we learn to believe in ourselves.
I’m here to offer guidance, support, and a safe space where you can explore your story, build resilience, and move toward lasting change.

Life can often throw situations your way that lead you into cycles of anxiety, depression, and distress. When you live with a chronic illness, this cycle tends to be never-ending and always evolving with ongoing symptom management. There may be days when you feel so isolated and alone due to your diagnosis and hope feels very out of reach. As someone who has lived with a chronic illness for more than 10 years, I hope to provide my clients who are experiencing chronic illnesses the space where they can be heard and understood, while also exploring new coping skills and tools to better manage their health and well-being.

You may have been diagnosed with ADHD, or been coined a perfectionist by your friends.
Your life seems to be going well, but deep inside you feel like you're just a great pretender. You’re doing your best to be a good parent, partner, daughter, co-worker, but no matter how hard you try, you end up feeling like you could be better. You’re struggling with feelings of doubt, grief, shame and irritability. When the day is over you deal with restless thoughts traveling a mile a minute, all to remind you of the things you have yet to get done. You can’t sleep and no matter how many times you try to organize your life, it just seems to always feel messy. One day you're a “go getter”, next day you struggle to get out of bed.

Are you nervous, having panic attacks, shortness of breath, or maybe your heart is racing and you can't explain it; it could potentially be anxiety. Maybe for lack of better coping skills you have increased your use of alcohol or drugs. Maybe your family is telling you you are addicted to or abusing alcohol or drugs, but you don't know what else to do. Some people don't understand what is happening to their body and are fearful of where to go or how to get help.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
