My experience includes those who have been affected by trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties.

Most of my clients are facing relational challenges due to areas that are out of balance in their lives. At the present time, I have about 150 clients. I spend much time working with people with high levels of stress, anxiety and depression. My greatest strengths are in Marriage & Family and Youth Counseling due to the fact that I look for root problems in the lives of people and find ways to retrain them so that they can be much more functional. I am also very effective with self-esteem issues. With additional counselors we can address substance abuse, weight management, child custody issues, divorce mediation, etc.

Hey there! Just jumping in... I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Professional Counseling from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN. I also received my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe. I enjoy connecting with individuals, couples and parents to help strengthen and empower these relationships to flourish beyond many circumstances. I mostly work with adults 18 and older. We believe that healing happens through the connection between the therapist and client. Life is really hard! Relationships, trauma, loss, life stages, and the daily grind have affected every one of us, but there is healing and a story of reclamation of true self for each of us. Navigating our emotional response to life is tricky and often scary, but we can be empowered to feel victorious in our ability to take care of ourselves. In the context of a safe relationship between therapist and client, insight and re-experiencing life through compassionate eyes enables us to practice compassion for self.

I enjoy working with clients who are open to growth. I am the mother of 3 young adult daughters. I am active in my profession by having served on the Board of Directors as President in 2018-19 as well as 3 prior terms as Western District Chair, for The Licensed Professional Counselors Association of GA (LPCA-GA). I am Certified as a Clinical Supervisor by LPCA-GA, a Clinical Trauma Professional & as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider.
