I am a highly experienced therapist who is strongly committed to helping anyone who is struggling emotionally, in any way, find more peace and fulfillment in their life. My treatment focuses on helping you to identify and understand the causes of any anxiety, stress, depression, relationship, physical, or other issues you may be experiencing; in order to then help empower you with effective strategies that will harness your inner ability to heal and thrive.

Family life in this day and age is challenging. As a former K-12 teacher, mother, wife, friend, and one of six daughters with a few years under my belt, I believe that I can help. Whether establishing appropriate disciplinary strategies, navigating co-parenting or blended family issues, my teaching background and focused studies during graduate school have prepared me to prayerfully walk with parents. It is also my passion to help couples discover their strengths and relationship vulnerabilities as they learn to communicate about "all the things." Building a God-honoring marriage is the first step in creating a godly family home.

Many people come to counseling feeling stuck in certain behaviors, relational patterns, or emotional cycles, perhaps without even understanding why, or without hope of lasting change. My desire is to journey with you toward emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational wholeness. You may be facing a broken relationship, suffering from disordered eating or body image concerns, have a history of sexual abuse or trauma, be living with or recovering from a serious illness, or be experiencing depression or anxiety. Are you worried about your teen? Feel like you have tried everything to help your teen and it seems like nothing has worked? There are many reasons why your teen may be irritable, isolate, have poor grades in school, or seem to enjoy breaking rules. For over 20 years I have worked with adolescents and their families on learning to communicate more effectively and gain a sense of control over their lives. I have a strong background in working with adolescents and adults with drug and alcohol issues.

Children and Families have been my passion for the duration of my professional career. Specializing in services to Kindergarten to 8th grade, I utilize strength-based supportive counseling approach to overcome challenges within and outside the family system. As a current Certified School Counselor working at a progressive and diverse elementary school and a past Developmental Leadership Program Director serving all major School Districts in Atlanta, I understand the unique nature of individual school culture that supports and sometimes challenges children. I provide non-school-based supportive counseling services.

I believe in empowering clients to make the best choices for them. It often feels like we are along for the ride without realizing the opportunities to create change in our lives. I understand that therapy can be a difficult and sometimes uncomfortable process. In session, you are in the driver’s seat, and I am your navigator. Ultimately, you are in control of getting to your destination. Together, we can discover the where and how.

We are a group of court approved substance abuse intervention specialists with over 23 years of experience working with addiction. We have extensive experience in facilitating alcohol and drug evaluations, anger management evaluations, ASAM Level I treatment classes, Anger Management, Shoplifting and Theft Prevention, FVIP in addition to MRT and Parenting classes.

I work with children, teen, and adult clients on a variety of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a young professional, I believe myself to be uniquely able to connect with the needs and culture of today's teens and young adults. I also consider myself an ally to all racial groups as well as the queer community. As a therapist with a commitment to lifelong learning, I know it is my responsibility to approach issues of diversity with humility, empathy, and openness.

I am an experienced clinician who is passionate about helping people heal from trauma. Trauma can be caused by one experience such as a car accident, divorce or assault. It can also be the result of a series of events that took place over time. Trauma can lead to feeling alone, having difficulty trusting, feeling trapped, guilty, angry or like we don't fit in. There is hope regardless of what you are experiencing.

I am committed to helping you realize your true potential as you work out your own answers that move you forward. I bring seven years experience working with teens and adults in residential and community settings. My experience in residential has prepared me to work with mild to severe disorders such as Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline, Schizophrenia, Depression, and PTSD. I primarily use CBT and DBT to challenge your thinking and teach you new skills to replace behaviors that no longer serve you. Be prepared to be pushed into areas you may normally avoid or have your beliefs examined to determine if they serve you currently.

While active listening is an important skill for a therapist, listening can only go so far. All of the therapists here believe that what sets us apart from many other therapists is the fact we actually help you help yourself make the necessary changes in your life by giving you techniques, tools, skills, and guidance to achieve your goals. As a therapist, I demonstrate a gentle and empathetic connection with clients and understand that each client has individual needs and goals. I specialize in treating eating disorders, disordered eating, body image distress, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, mood disorders, & religious trauma.

My counseling style can be described as warm, empathetic, and accepting. Whatever issue prompts you to seek help, therapy can provide an intentional place to pause, process emotions, and find clarity about what you need. I have a special passion for working with adults experiencing stress and anxiety and those prone to perfectionism and people-pleasing. Often in my work with clients, we explore the need to honor one's sense of self and establish healthy boundaries.

Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy to individuals who are searching for an increased sense of emotional well-being and inner peace. She firmly believes that we all hold the answers within ourselves, but that we sometimes just need a little help accessing our own truth. Rachel utilizes strengths-based interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy in her work with clients. She has a strong background working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders and substance abuse. She is also very passionate about collaborating with psychiatrists to treat individuals who suffer from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and unspecified psychotic disorders.

I have always had a passion for helping others and that passion was realized through returning to school and receiving a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. My journey to becoming a therapist has been one of excitement and fulfillment. I have a passion for working with children, I believe that helping children create new coping skills or overcome life transitions leads to a healthier happy adult.
