I provide face to face sessions at my office having completed vaccinations or can provide telehealth services. My office provides complete confidentiality with no staff or waiting area. I bring to my practice many years of experience in psychotherapy on a wide array of issues; Whatever the issues I bring no judgment, and a commitment to an empathic alliance with you to face your unique challenges. Challenges are a constant part of all our lives, but this past year introduced us to additional unexpected and unimageable stressors. Therapy is one resource that may help you navigate through these and other issues. We understand the impact that stressors may have and individuals’ unique capabilities to handle them depending on history, your personality and other factors. We competently and compassionately provide therapy to those struggling with these very issues. We will expertly guide you into defining the problem, exploring underlying or inconsequential issues, and adjusting perceptions to see and select healthier options.

I am a licensed psychologist accepting teletherapy patients from all areas of Georgia. In-office patients will be seen at St Simons Psychiatry. I work with all ages incorporating mental, physical and spiritual factors. Therapy with children and teens typically involves better communication with parents and parenting help. Areas of expertise are mood, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, behavior problems, autism, chronic pain, stress and anger management.

Sometimes life’s circumstances and challenges can leave you feeling stuck. You find yourself just wanting someone to help you or your family to begin living a more meaningful life. I have over 25 years of clinical experience assisting others on how to achieve their best life. It is my belief solutions to our problems are within us.

I am a firm believer that the greatest experiences and our most difficult moments include other people. Relationships with others are not always easy to navigate. Experiences we have with other people can have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. I love to support people exploring their relationship with themselves and how that can have a positive impact on our relationship with others. I have knowledge and experience working with individuals and couples who have experienced trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, parenting, postpartum and identity issues.

Counseling services focus on helping families and individuals build skills that increase health behaviors and foster resiliency. Symptoms and challenges are addressed using a CBT, DBT, Adlerian, and/or a client centered ‘strengths and solutions’ based approach. Emphasis in sessions include gaining awareness of negative self-talk and habits, learning tools to change behaviors, and rewriting new scripts that illuminate strengths, acceptance, and self-discipline. Sand Tray techniques and Play Therapy are additional approaches to help clients process emotions and progress in their goals.

Hi, I really enjoy helping people that are trying to take control of their mental health. I specialize in depression. Most people at some point in their life will deal with depression. I strive to help my clients determine the cause of their depression from the root. I assist them in acquiring skills to help themselves daily overcome depression.

My name is Carol Brown. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). I worked in public mental health with adults and families; and Hephzibah Behavioral Health with high risk children and adolescents for several years dealing with many issues, including addiction and anger manage- ment. In 2016, I began to focus my time on building a full-time private practice. Now, in a private setting, I offer Marriage and Family Therapy, Couple Therapy and Individual Therapy to adults, adolescents, and children. I offer specialty service related to substance abuse and anger control.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 23 years of experience in the field, 15 of which have been in counseling. I assist clients with issues surrounding self-esteem, body image, anxiety, depression and eating disorders. I also assist clients struggling with relationship issues and divorce. I have extensive experience in grief counseling and supporting clients as they process loss. I am passionate about helping others love themselves, take care of their bodies, and find freedom from societal standards!!
