I have over 20 years of experience working with adults and teenagers who are dealing with substance abuse, anxiety, adjustment issues, trauma and stress, anger management, grief, PTSD, trauma, postpartum depression and other women's issues, Bipolar Disorder, Depressive and other mood disturbances and change of life.
As we move throughout our lives, there are instances in which we find ourselves experiencing feelings that can be hard to describe and understand. Anxiety, depression, mood changes and self esteem issues are just a few of the elements we encounter in our quest to have a fulfilling life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for growth, change, healing and restoration and I work to create an environment in which you can feel safe, heard and understood.

Sometimes individuals struggle with managing daily life challenges, stress, depression, parenting woes, difficult relationships, self-esteem, mental health, family problems and many other issues that come with life. When you're suffering, it's natural to want to talk to someone about your problems.

I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, ADHD, trauma, anger management, and life transitions by building practical, everyday coping skills.
The clients who tend to connect most with my approach are those who are ready for change but may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. Many come in dealing with anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, or the weight of trying to manage everything on their own. They’re looking for relief, clarity, and a space where they feel genuinely heard. My approach is person-centered and supportive. I focus on building trust first, then integrate practical tools like CBT and skill-building to help clients better understand themselves and move forward with confidence, balance, and intention.

"Can you imagine life returning to a state of emotional wellness, or waking up feeling happy for no particular reason?" Don't lose hope! Beyond the pain is emotional freedom. Emotional pain can present as unbearable and never ending. A constant state of chaos can give rise to depression and anxiety; Feeling lonely as if nobody cares. You might wonder if life is worth living. Your emotional state makes it difficult to anticipate a brighter future. You may feel powerless and hopeless about life. You may feel numb and empty. Most of my referrals are word of mouth and my professional services will help to restore hope for the future.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
