Finding the right practitioner; when it comes to your emotional, mental, and spiritual health needs; can be challenging because you may not know what you should be considering during this search. Select a professional who is not only compassionate and passionate about their work and the people they serve, but also someone who knows the element of strength and perseverance personally. Stress can have a huge impact on the way we function in the various domains of our lives and this can sometimes send us down the rabbit hole of doubt. In order to truly accept yourself you must discover the elements of your becoming.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia working with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, grief, etc. I do take an active role in the counseling process as I work collectively with the client to navigate the presented concerns and create tangible goals to make life more manageable. I believe we develop psychological stress due to the inability to truly be who we are meant to be because we seek and desire belonging believing that we need to be who someone else wants us to be.
I am currently only accepting clients to address presenting issues of addiction. I have seen firsthand the weight of addiction on individuals, families, and communities, especially with the recent COVID-19 pandemic! Although the 12-step programs (AA, NA, CA, etc.) have been beneficial to many, I do recognize that they are not the only way to recover. Everyone heals differently and you get to take your power back by deciding what that recovery looks like for you! Maybe you are unsure about quitting altogether, or maybe you are even unsure that you have a real "problem". Let's talk it out and make an informed decision together!
The Mental Wellness Collective is a virtual therapy practice, and wellness community designed specifically for Black women + teen girls.
