I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for help can be difficult, but it’s a brave step toward healing and growth. I work with older children, teens, and young adults (ages 9–30) who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, school stress, or major life changes. They want to feel understood, supported, and more in control of their emotions and choices.
As a compassionate, creative, and energetic therapist, I offer a safe and engaging space where clients can be themselves, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and build tools to cope, communicate, and grow with confidence.

I provide services to clients going through major life changes. Feelings of loss can control our lives and need to be processed to move forward. Losses are not always the traditional loss. They span across multiple domains of life such as marriage, a job, or loss of sense of purpose and meaning in life in life. Processing loss can be difficult, but my goal is to create a space where you are able to fully do so without fear or judgment.

Life’s current path can sometimes feel overwhelming. But with support, self-discovery, and dedication, it’s possible to forge a new direction—one where fear, self-doubt, and stress are gradually replaced by pride, self-acceptance, calm, and hope.
Because our mind, body, environment, and spirit all play vital roles in our well-being, I take a holistic approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I offer a client-centered, compassionate space where we move at a pace that feels right for you.

Finding a place where you can truly be yourself should feel safe, not hard. I work with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, identity, and the pressure of living in a world that does not always feel affirming. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent and are looking for a therapist who understands them without needing to mask, justify, or explain who they are. Through Plutonic virtual therapy, we meet in calming, supportive spaces like a campfire or quiet park, or in person at our welcoming office. Together, we create a space where you feel grounded, understood, and empowered to show up as your full self.

I work with people and families who are struggling with the anxiety of life. Divorce (the couple, the children, the aftermath), growing-up, growing old, changing, embracing, letting go. Helping people find the strength in themselves to walk through life and handle the issues that seem too heavy to bear. I work in a homey setting that disarms and makes feel people feel free to share and do the work they need to do to have their best lives. My referrals largely come by referrals from past clients. I am honored to sit with people in times of trouble in their lives and work hard to live up to that honor.

You might be a college student or young adult who is capable, thoughtful, and used to pushing through, yet still feels anxious, overwhelmed, or feeling stuck about your direction. Maybe your sense of worth has become closely tied to academic or career performance, and you’re feeling the pressure of needing to “figure things out.” You may be navigating a major transition, questioning old goals, or realizing that what once worked no longer fits. You want relief from anxiety and stress, but you’re also looking for clarity, steadiness, and a way forward that feels intentional rather than reactive, and sustainable over time.

I am unable to accept new patients at this time. Are you at a point where you or a loved one has lost hope? With over 27 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, marriages, and families, I've seen many find hope that was previously absent by using a short-term, targeted, and effective approach to counseling. Each therapist has unique strengths. Mine is working through tough problems other therapists don't prefer to treat by seeing clients in their homes rather than in an office. Most people are able to see a significant change within 6 months. Counseling should not last forever and neither should your struggles

My name is Dr. Cliff Johnson and I started counseling other kids when I was 5 years old. I was a pre-therapist at that time and I helped other kids learn social skills and manage their anger and other emotions. So what is counseling? There could be many answers to this question. I help clients 'figure it out'. i.e. identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional stress and confusion. I use Cognitive Behavior Theory and also eclectic methods but these are just methods or tools that
