I count it a privilege to work with individuals who desire to create opportunities for positive change in their lives. I believe this begins with determining personal values and realistic outcomes. I assist individuals in identifying small action steps that can be implemented to achieve results. Change is inevitable in life. Learning how to respond in healthy ways to life events and how to interact with others are key to establishing a well-balanced life.

Life can feel overwhelming, especially during times of transition, loss, or after spring break, end of school with summertim
What makes my practice unique is both my clinical experience and my life journey. I’ve lived internationally, including a time in Istanbul, and I believe these diverse life experiences help me connect with clients on a deeper level. Whether it’s riding a camel or owning a horse, my life outside the office informs the empathy and insight I bring into session.

I am a native of Atlanta, GA and have over 20+ years’ experience in the counseling field
As a therapist, I engage and educate my clients on how their thoughts and feelings truly have correlation with the actions they exhibit and symptoms they experience. I believe, if a person can learn/create healthy coping mechanisms such as, thought stopping techniques, positive self-talk, meditation, self-regulation, and mindfulness living, then change can certainly occur. I normally incorporate digital learning by assigning lessons, exercises, and homework between scheduled sessions.

If you find yourself stuck in a rut or shopping compulsively to ease pain and disappointment, or if you feel spiritually broken, drained, tired, confused, or angry, we can find ways to heal together. Let me be part of your village. My clients have created and lived out stories that have caused them to be stuck in toxic relationships and unhealthy patterns. Fortunately, my sessions have provided safe spaces for people to re-create and find alternative stories or narratives that affirm positivity and joy.

My ideal client is that person who's caught in the constant mental chatter of "did I say the right thing?" The one who's always making sure everyone else is okay while feeling one deep breath away from overwhelm. Whether they're an adult lost in spirals of what-if thoughts, or a college student whose heart races every time a professor might call on them, ready for change. Someone looking to move beyond the exhausting cycle of people pleasing and create a life that feels more like them, not just who everyone else needs them to be. I also work well with creatives who see problems from many angles but struggle with their own emotions.

I truly believe that no matter the circumstance, if you explore your mind, put your goals in writing, speak them out loud, and work for them intentionally and unapologetically, they will manifest.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
