As a faith based, evidence based, and clinical counselor, I believe therapy is a collaborative journey between the client and therapist. Every individual is composed of mind, body and spirit. If one is out of balance so are the other two. My objective is to provide help on the path to wholeness and tranquility. My first goal in counseling is to create a safe space for clients to express feelings and challenges encountered. As ordained clergy, I believe it is important for clergy to have a forum to express their challenges and thoughts without repercussion or concern about perceptions from congregations in which they serve.

Therapy & Consultation for Neurodivergent & LGBTQIA+ Adults Navigating Identity, Diagnosis, and Life Transitions.
I work with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ adults (ages 22–45) seeking clarity during periods of transition, such as new or late diagnosis (ASD, ADHD, IDD), burnout, identity exploration, or major life changes. This practice prioritizes understanding, integration, and fit rather than symptom-focused care alone. Many clients begin with a structured consultation to orient them to the next steps and decide whether ongoing counseling makes sense.

I believe therapy helps us understand the power of the mind. This is especially useful when we feel disconnected, marginalized, or stigmatized. When we feel this way, learning how the mind channels this information through thoughts, feelings, emotions, and perceptions, can influence us to recognize our own cognitive processes and how they impact our life. If we attend to our cognitive processes in a healthy way, it may lead to regulation of mood, clarity, balance and feelings of peace. We start to evolve and accept certain things about ourselves. We begin to feel at peace from within. I help my clients through this process.

I support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate grief, loss, anger, and emotional pain connected to life transitions and relational challenges.
Finding Your Ase’ was founded in 2017 from the belief that healing is deeply personal and shaped by culture, relationships, and meaning. Through my work, I observed that many individuals desired therapeutic support that honored emotional health alongside cultural and spiritual values. This led me to develop an integrative approach informed by postmodern therapy and culturally grounded healing perspectives.

Life is full of constant change and challenges. Sometimes it is best to talk to someone who can provide you with a confidential, non-judgmental perspective in a supportive environment. Although we can't change the past, we can work together to better understand your experiences and resolve challenges. By applying therapeutic techniques and approaches, we will focus on your growth and well-being.

As a holistic therapist and life strategist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential through growth in all aspects of your life. While we can't change the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in life. By applying eclectic therapy approaches and techniques, we will discover long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Philosophy: "It is what it is, but it doesn't have to be. Experience is a lesson and the lesson is a new experience."

I treat adults who struggle with ADHD, anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life.
To benefit most from counseling, it’s essential that we develop a therapeutic alliance. That means show up as your authentic self. I encourage you to show up for session, remove your mask, get comfortable, feel what you feel, and say what needs to be said. I will be your guide, supporting, listening, challenging, and providing you with feedback and insights.

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
