My training as a marriage and family therapist allows me to assess and treat your problems through a systemic lens getting at the heart of the problems in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions while improving your connections with others in your life.

I have been meeting with individuals and couples for over 35 years. I specialize in helping individuals and couples learn how to communicate more effectively. My focus is on helping the client learn how to talk about his/her emotions in a clear and thoughtful manner. My ideal client(s) is an individual who desires to live out of their true self. I love helping couples and individuals learn to connect in a deeper and more authentic manner.

I enjoy working with people who struggle with problematic sexual behavior (sexual addiction), partners who have been through betrayal trauma, couples in recovery, and general marriage counseling. Intimacy development in relationships is also one of my passions.

I specialize in strengthening couple and family relationships, whether daily challenges or more serious issues involving infidelity , addiction, or betrayal trauma. I work to increase happiness through strengthening, remodeling, or rebuilding relationships. I help clients build communication, conflict resolution, and life skills as well as increasing connection. I work with people across the lifespan, from children to adolescents, to adults, individually or in a relationship. As a play therapist, I am skilled in working with children and adolescents. As a marriage and family therapist, I love to help build couple and family skills.

I am a trilingual (English, Spanish & Portuguese) therapist who honors each client, respecting who they are, where they've been and where they're going. My goal in serving clients is to create a safe therapeutic environment where healing and mutual learning can take place. I find that in this environment teens feel free to open up about their challenges, couples commit to making meaningful adjustments in their relationships and individual men and women act on their willingness to discuss difficult problems they face.

With more than a decade of experience as a Marriage & Family Therapist, I consider it an honor to journey with my clients through difficult seasons in life. For many of the clients I meet with, these difficulties include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and relationship concerns such as infidelity , and struggles with emotional and physical intimacy, communication and conflict resolution. I use a collaborative and client-centered approach as I help my clients find peace, connection, and greater fulfillment in their lives and relationships.

With experience working with the family unit, I strive to assist families in pursuing new solutions to their problems that ultimately strengthen the family dynamic.

With my training as a marriage and family therapist, I am able to assist couples in better understanding and communicating with one another. Feelings that couples experience, like not feeling good enough or alone, can have an impact on how they interact and communicate. Couples without the proper skills often struggle to effectively communicate and understand how even their own triggers can affect how they react to their partner. We explore underlying emotions together and how to best communicate them to your partner so you can feel heard and connected.

I work with individuals, families, and couples to help them find new ways to look at their lives and new ways to manage difficult emotions. For more than twenty years, I've been working with children, adults, and families and have worked as an ADHD coach and as a special education advocate. I have also been a program director overseeing eating disorder clinics with clients who had primary eating disorders as well as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, attachment disorders, and borderline personality disorder, among others.

I'm passionate about working collaboratively with all of my clients, especially: clients of all ages with autoimmune, other chronic or potential life-limiting illness; teens/college students and parents with concerns related to academic and/or behavioral issues and in strengthening relationships; clients with mood, anxiety and addiction issues; clients with grief and loss issues and clients contemplating separation and/or divorce. I can objectively mediate a separation or divorce to each parties satisfaction.

Being born with a naturally intuitive nature presented many challenges; it felt overwhelming and burdensome most of the time, but something deep within knew that it was bigger than me. Yet, most days I felt different and out of place, a misfit… I was always highly sensitive to my environment and the pain that filled the space of the hearts of those around me. This unique gift of perception allowed me to feel what others were experiencing, namely their pain.
