I am enthusiastic about working with those motivated to begin their counseling journey. In my previous career as a teacher, I developed effective skills for working with children, adolescents, and adults. I typically work with teens and adults who struggle to adjust after experiencing trauma, particularly sexual trauma and interpersonal violence. I am deeply passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community through coming out, life transitions, and marital and couples issues. Additionally, I enjoy working through issues of interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, and with adults with ADHD and/or Autism.

All human beings are designed to be seen authentically, known truthfully, and loved fully, therefore, my therapeutic approach is fundamentally relational. Whether a child or an adult, I seek to honor each person as unique, encourage vulnerability, and remain present in order to help clients work towards a more intimate, authentic, and grounded presence in the world. Although my civilian counseling career began in 2015, my counseling experience began as a Non-commissioned Officer in the Air Force during my 20-year career. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia. I have always been a compassionate helper since a very young age. Professionally, I have been in the helping field since 2005. I am a dedicated, compassionate, spiritual therapist/counselor with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, nationally and internationally.

I provide therapy for a variety of issues that you may be facing. The most prominent of these issues are depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. This does not mean I do not provide counseling for other issues or that those “other” issues are not as important. Here are a few examples of those “other” issues I have experience with: grief counseling, social skills education, substance abuse, parenting, domestic violence education/counseling and therapy related to chronic medical issues. In my practice, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). When appropriate, I use other treatment modalities as well.
