I also work with OCD, PTSD, couples issues, adolescent and child issues, parenting concerns, borderline personality disorder and with many other issues as well.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor my goal is to provide a calm, safe and non-judgmental environment where one can address and deal with situations and issues that are causing pain. I believe that counseling is an active process that requires the client and the therapist to work together to achieve specific goals throughout the counseling process. I help clients find insight into themselves and assist them in building skills that help make managing life easier and more positive.

It's OK to not be Ok. Life can be challenging, and we all could use support from time to time to navigate those challenges. Whether you're experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or feel overwhelmed, you deserve support. I work with teens, adults, and couples to help them face these challenges. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach in helping clients navigate their concerns. My approach is intertwined with my belief that much of how we experience difficulty can be related to our past experiences and current circumstances. I always tailor my approach to suit the individual client.

"To change your reality, you must change your mentality" ~ Daniel Ally. Mentality is a way of thinking. The way a person thinks affects their beliefs, their beliefs affect their perceptions, their perceptions affect their decisions, their decisions affect their behaviors, and their behaviors affect their mental wellness. Your reality and who you are is driven by your mentality. I have foundational education in marriage and family therapy. I have extensive experience with couples, divorce, and blended families. Although couples and family are my specialty, I am available for individual therapy as well.

I am not accepting new clients at this time. There is no question that we continue to live in challenging times. Truly, life was hard enough before COVID with managing work, family, and other demands but things have drastically changed. So it's not surprising that fear, worry, and maybe even depression have crept in. During times like these connection matters most. Perhaps you live alone, maybe a significant relationship has changed, or you're just anxious about what's ahead. Whatever the reason, you don't have to go it alone. Reach out, I would like to help.

Teen Therapists
Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can raise questions of independence and identity; as adolescents cultivate their sense of self, they may face difficult choices about academics, friendship, sexuality, gender identity, drugs, and alcohol.

Most teens have a relatively egocentric perspective on life; a state of mind that usually abates with age. They often focus on themselves and believe that everyone else—from a best friend to a distant crush—is focused on them too. They may grapple with insecurities and feelings of being judged. Relationships with family members often take a backseat to peer groups, romantic interests, and appearance, which teens perceive as increasingly important during this time.

The transition can naturally lead to anxiety about physical development, evolving relationships with others, and one's place in the larger world. Mild anxiety and other challenges are typical, but serious mental health conditions also emerge during adolescence.
