I aim to provide a safe space where you can come and express the fullness of who you are, learn skills, and embrace your healing journey in wholistic ways.

You are painfully aware of not feeling seen, heard, or validated by the people you desperately want to feel close to. In social situations, you may get in your own way- stuck in your head with anxiety about judgment or about saying the ‘right’ thing. You have a hard time falling asleep as you replay conversations in your head wondering what went wrong. More than anything else, you want to feel connected – to friends who don’t judge you; to a partner you can feel comfortably vulnerable with; and to yourself in a way that’s kind and compassionate.

As a holistic psychotherapist, I strive to meet my clients where they’re at and always consider the mind, body, spirit, and environment. Each client is unique, so I use compassion and multicultural awareness to tailor they way I serve each client. I use a feminist, humanistic, and integrative approach and enjoy working with adults of all ages and backgrounds, but especially young women. The collaborative process of healing and growth allows my clients to reach the goals we set together and to navigate challenges of many sizes they face in their lives.

My passion lies with assisting individuals who have challenges with anxiety, depression, mood instability, medical trauma, life-transitions, under-controlled and over-controlled traits, women’s health, belongingness, and self-esteem. Through my work-related experiences at 3 residential programs, a non-profit, and private practice, it has truly been a privilege aiding diverse populations. They never fail to show me that no one is too broken, hopeless, or unworthy of having a life that is worth living.

I am a Black queer cis woman. I hold space as a guide and a supporter. I strive to make therapy accessible with clear, direct communication, warm energy, and pre-emptive radically inclusive stance. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School for Social Work. As a master-level social worker, I am currently pursuing my licensure in the state of Georgia under supervision at Heartwork. At Heartwork Counseling Center, we do not take insurance. We do offer a sliding scale. Our regular fee is $150.

Love and Connection in life should not be confusing. But there is always a risk when it comes to getting those two critical human relational needs. Many times relationships feel like a dance, and feeling lost with no road map? It can often turn into division or discomfort, but does it always have to be that way? Emotionally Focused Therapy is a proven, evidence-based method that enhances couples' ability to gain Love and Connection through safety and security. And I would love to be that resource, coach, advocate to help partners sustain longevity in their relationship without leading to isolation or further hurt.

Thank you for considering my approach to healing! I work with clients from diverse backgrounds to address sex therapy related issues (i.e. sexual "dysfunction," enhancement of pleasure, sexual identity development, etc.) and trauma related to interpersonal violence, attachment wounds, and systemic oppression. I work predominantly with sex workers, queer and trans clients, kink clients, polyamorous clients, and community organizers. Ultimately, I am passionate about helping all clients expand their view of what is possible for their lives and let go of shame.

Building on over 20 years of nonprofit social work with older adults and families, I am committed to a clinical practice that focuses on serving this unique population. I believe that growing older is a process of continual growth and that seeking therapy as a part of that growth is good for your health, your relationships, and your life. In my work with family caregivers, I provide critical emotional and practical support to help you to better cope with the challenges of supporting an older family member while setting good boundaries and practicing essential self care.
