Insomnia is a disorder that touches every aspect of a person's life.
I go beyond " sleep hygiene" with an empirically-supported treatment that is straightforward, and I tailor it to each individual client. We can also work on any anxiety or depression than can be an underlying cause or lingering effect of insomnia.

I also work with families to address sleep disturbances, helping improve both nighttime rest and daytime behavior.
I’m a child and adolescent psychologist dedicated to helping young people and their families thrive. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral strategies with systems-based thinking, allowing me to see each child in the context of their relationships, environments, and experiences. I work closely with parents, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure that every client receives well-rounded, collaborative care. Above all, I strive to create a safe, affirming space where young people feel understood and supported as they grow.

We use integrative cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety (generalized anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, etc.), obsessive compulsive or related disorders, perfectionism, insomnia, and post traumatic stress.
CBT is “evidence-based” because researchers find it to be effective for many people. CBT is usually short term and can often work in 6-25 sessions. Some clients come back for “booster sessions” after they complete a course of therapy. Some stay in therapy for longer amounts of time finding it to be helpful.

I am a trauma-informed provider who supports individuals and couples navigating grief/loss, trauma, conflict, and transition. I am affirming of all members of the LGBTQ+ community and am passionate about supporting folks identifying as neurodiverse (eg. autistic, AuDH, diagnosed with ADHD, etc ). Clients I support often struggle with the impact of stories about who they "should be", wondering, "Do I matter?" or shedding pieces of themselves to create a sense of belonging. Understanding our stories is one of the bravest things we can do. Together we can explore yours, identify your strengths and values, and pursue healing and growth.

Mental, physical and emotional distress often contain important clues to imbalance in your life. Learning to listen to yourself, with the active support of a trusted therapeutic relationship, can help you to become unstuck and live with greater ease. With this support, you are able to understand the interplay of the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that contribute to the distress in your life. You begin to find hope when recognizable patterns emerge. Hope grows when these patterns are understood and accepted in the context of your past experiences. Change occurs with ongoing feedback, practice and encouragement.

Even daily life experiences such as work, parenting, caregiving, or the experience of racism can take toll on our moods and functioning. If they are not addressed, depression, anxiety, and other stress-related concerns can keep us from being fully able to engage in our lives.

Because children do not come with a handbook, parents are often wondering if they are parenting correctly. Sometimes your house and your relationships can feel strained due to the challenges of parenting. Parents can feel as if the child is in charge of the emotional barometer of the house. Most parents at some point experience feelings of being overwhelmed and not knowing how to be effective and supportive at the same time. Therapy is a way of taking those first steps toward making positive changes for yourself and your family. By making small changes, you will be able to enjoy a more fulfilling parenting experience.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
